Frequently Asked Questions

We have a dev who uses Claude to design. Do we still need a designer?
A dev prompting an AI tool can produce screens. What they can't produce is direction: knowing which of ten outputs is actually right for your users, your brand, and your conversion goals. I bring the taste and product judgment that turns raw AI output into something that ships and performs.
We already use v0, Lovable or Cursor to ship UI fast. Why add a designer?
Those tools give you speed. They don't give you a point of view. I use the same AI leverage to move fast, then apply 7 years of product design to make the result feel considered, on-brand and genuinely usable, the difference between "looks AI-made" and "looks like a real product."
Isn't AI going to replace designers completely soon anyway?
AI replaces the production, not the judgment. It generates more options than ever, which makes taste, curation and direction more valuable, not less. My workflow is built around exactly that: AI for volume, experience for what to keep.
Why does great design really matter for my business right now?
Design is how trust, clarity and conversion get built into your product. In a market where anyone can ship a generic AI UI, a product with a real point of view is what makes users stay, investors lean in, and revenue move.
How is this different from just prompting an AI design tool better?
Better prompts still give you options, not decisions. The value is in interrogating every output, refining what's promising, discarding what isn't, and structuring it into a coherent, dev-ready product. That's the layer AI doesn't do on its own.
What if we already have designs or partial AI-generated work?
Perfect starting point. I can audit, refine and elevate what you have: keeping what works, fixing what doesn't, and giving the whole thing the consistency and polish it's missing.
How does the collaboration actually start?
A short call to understand your product, goals and timeline. From there I scope the work, send a clear quote, and we get started, usually within days.
Can you work with our existing design system?
Yes. I work inside your components, tokens and conventions when you have them, and can help extend or tidy the system where it's needed, so your devs get files that fit straight into your codebase.
What's your availability and how do you work remotely?
I work remotely from France with founders and teams across time zones, async by default, with regular checkpoints. Availability is limited to keep quality high, so the earlier we talk, the better.
What does a typical project cost?
It depends on scope. Day rate starts at 700€, most fixed-scope projects (deck, landing page, identity) are quoted upfront after a short call. No surprises.
