I'm Loïc Le Lay

A product designer with 7+ years in digital: high-end mobile and web apps, from early MVPs to full-scale SaaS platforms. And, more recently, physical products, taken from the first sketch to a factory-ready tech pack. Passionate about car design & motorsport.

I work closely with founders, tech teams and manufacturers, turning bold ideas into products that survive contact with the real world: the user, the codebase, the production line.

  1. 01Figma sets the intent

    The concept file is the guideline: intentions, visual iterations, a direction. It can stay partial, it still lays the foundations.

    Pulled from the Figma file, the prototype completes every view, tests the UX in real hands, and adds the micro-interactions and custom code Figma can’t. The design rules live in .md files, the generation is framed by my own skills.

    I go back and forth between the two until the copy is right. That copy becomes the final product, or a clean handoff to teams, clients and developers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you use AI in your process?
As leverage, out in the open. AI handles the volume (exploration, first drafts, production), so I move faster and lighter than a traditional studio. What I add is the part it can't: deciding what's actually right for your users and your brand, and the craft that makes it read as a real product, not a generated one. AI speed, a designer's judgment on top.
Why does great design really matter for my business right now?
Design is how trust, clarity and conversion get built into your product. In a market where anyone can ship a generic AI UI, a product with a real point of view is what makes users stay, investors lean in, and revenue move.
What if we already have designs or partial AI-generated work?
Perfect starting point. I can audit, refine and elevate what you have: keeping what works, fixing what doesn't, and giving the whole thing the consistency and polish it's missing.
How does the collaboration actually start?
A short call to understand your product, goals and timeline. From there I scope the work, send a clear quote, and we get started, usually within days.
Can you work with our existing design system?
Yes. I work inside your components, tokens and conventions when you have them, and can help extend or tidy the system where it's needed, so your devs get files that fit straight into your codebase.
What's your availability and how do you work remotely?
I work remotely from France with founders and teams across time zones, async by default, with regular checkpoints. Availability is limited to keep quality high, so the earlier we talk, the better.
What does a typical project cost?
It depends on scope. Day rate starts at 700€, most fixed-scope projects (deck, landing page, identity) are quoted upfront after a short call. No surprises.
